Beauty With A Purpose. Does It Include Honesty and Sportmanship

Been reading the bruhaha rampaging the net about the mayhem brought by the mistake. I agree with one of the viewer’s comment. And if beauty contestant does not understand what happened which nobody expected and planned, then they should have not join such contest.

Steve Harvey made the error and I do not understand after he apologized, the blame is pointed to our Pia Wurtzbach who was also in shocked to what happened. This is unfair. And for the record, South America is colonized by Spain which we too share former masters and were taught the same faith of practicing humility.

Such attitude of aggressiveness to fellow contestant is unworthy to be called beauty with a purpose. You should be role models to young girls who looks forward with your grace amid chaos. What you displayed is not professionalism under pressure.

Fact: The Miss Universe pageant will not end this year so better prepare for next year. Miss Pia Wurtzbach didn’t came to Las Vegas just to be called beautiful but with purpose, grace, intelligence and especially humility if she didn’t won. But she did.

Its December. Where is your Christmas spirit?

Better Admit a Mistake.

Honestly, I frequently make grammatical errors in my writing and over the years I found not to explain why I make such inconvenience. I have to humbly admit the error and have to do a better one next time. Often I post wrong spelling too and this will not make my blog better.

It is a journey so I will gladly accept the mistake and be better than alibi the error to other conditions or to non aligning heavenly stars. And it is very brave for someone to admit such mistakes especially in a stoning mood crowd who loves someone to get the blame. But who knows. That same mistake could sometime propel us to a big break.

To Steve Harvey, I salute you.

James Stewart: It’s a Wonderful Life

Here’s a nice movie for the holiday. Watched it long ago in local PTV4 and yes, I got teary eyes on this good feel classic. Often we forgot how blessed we are. When times are tough, we have to call on God and with his abundant love, have faith and things will be fine. A loving supportive family is truly a blessing from God.

Somehow I am getting a hang of drawing on bumpy Highway54(EDSA) and stable enough to draw a decent face of James Stewart (Also a retired Air Force Brigadier General Bomber pilot) with leading lady Donna Reed.

Have a happy holidays ahead.

Ballpoint: Ferrari Fxxr

A ballpoint drawing of a red Ferrari, very challenging. I used a “Pilot” brand for this experiment. I checked with another brand “Uni” with a darker tone result but blots a lot. I will try again with “Bic”. I am using regular ballpoint pens.

Blot is a common enemy with ball pen and the tip is, have a cloth, tissue or cotton to scrub the excess if  ink is building on the tip of the pen.

Keep practicing. Enjoy.
