“We’ll Always Have Paris”… Casablanca 1942 and the Current Conflicts.

Romantic farewell of the 1942 movie Casablanca is a sad one. Between conflicts of nations, two people (Humphrey Bogart as Rick Blaine and Ingrid Bergman as Ilsa) need to separate for a second time to fight tyranny. And only the thought of Paris they can bring. Currently Europe is receiving thousands of migrants fleeing from a conflict they have no control of. They were just in the middle of some power struggle and religious ideology.

When I saw facebook posting of the attack early November 14 Saturday , Philippine local time, it is a sad fact some group can kill people that are non combatant and living peacefully in the city. You have to ask why. Just because we do not agree on some issues political, religion even the color of the skin, does not mean disagreement we must kill one another.

Love is a double edge sword. It brings mercy and also justice. Let us hope we have both.

Peace on Earth please.
